Upcoming interactive workshop for writers

Updated: 1 day ago

Zephyr Maine in Freeport is more than honored to host an upcoming interactive workshop for writers.

Charlotte Agell was born in Norsjö, Sweden but grew up mostly as an expatriate Swede, in Montreal and Hong Kong. She came to Maine to attend Bowdoin College and decided to stay!

If you are writing for young people and searching for the true heart of story, this workshop with Charlotte will help you focus on prompts and find out the path your project wishes to take.

Charlotte is the author/illustrator of fourteen books for children and young adults, as well as one book for teachers.

The New York Times has called her work “ebullient.”

And she was featured in the NYTimes “Read Your Way Through Maine” essay.

Her picture book Maybe Tomorrow? (illus by Ana Ramirez Gonzalez/shown above) won a Maine Literary Award in 2020. A companion book, Just for Today, is due out very soon!

You can learn more about Charlotte Agell at her website

or, even better, sign up to sit in on her upcoming lecture at Zephyr Maine on April 18th 12:00-4:00pm

tickets are $120.00 for writing knowledge you can take with you forever!

There has been heated debates about the best recipes with turnips as the star, and we hope you will stop by and see who won the debate and what deliciousness we can create!
